The Face of God - week 2
To be honest - I haven't listened to the message from this week yet. I got to hang out with the Bridge Kid's this week. I was inspired by Miss Stephanie leading the discussion of Samuel, the amazing retention of the story from the week before and how the kids worked together to complete their worksheets. I teased my kids on the way home that they should answer "Speak Mom, your servant is listening" when I called them, just like Samuel answered God when he heard His voice. Not the same? Oh well.
I usually like to share a small summary of what came out of the message, but instead, I'll just ask you to spend a few minutes reflecting on what Pastor JJ taught on from the book of Mark, or encourage you to do what I'm going to do - listen to the message on the podcast. Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting
Wednesday nights are for prayer at the Bridge. We will be meeting from 6:30 - 8:00 to lift up our church family, our city and our world in prayer. God does amazing things in our hearts and our lives when we talk to Him. If you've never done anything like this before - we would love for you to join in and be blessed by the power of a praying group. You will not be called on or required to pray out loud. If you have any questions, feel free to respond to this email and we can respond further!
If you can't make it Wednesday nights we invite you to dedicate part of your evening to praying for our church and our community.
Afghan Refuges Assistance
The Bridge will be helping organizations in Seattle with the imminent arrival of over 20,000 Afghan refuges. Please respond to this email if you are interested in being on the email list for ways you can help with this effort.
Youth Night!
Hey Middle and High School (parents since the kids probably don't subscribe to the newsletter)... please mark your calendars on October 2nd from 6-9 for an epic youth event. Pizza - build your own ice cream sundae's and games. Be sure to bring a friend, an empty stomach and your game face.
